Driving down a main street in town I look to my right before turning so and see a pre-driving-teen riding a lawn mower as his mode of transportation, complete with full stops for the traffic signals. I quickly think to myself that this is his way of riding that moped his parents won’t buy him or allow him to drive – so he sticks it to them by kidnapping the lawnmower to go buy his mother milk.
I am so hopeful for my own children’s pre-adult life.
