Open door policy?

This was supposed to be up last night but after uploading it I was then notified that this video would have to wait something insane like 185 minutes before being processed. Errr, yea. So I went to bed.
Either way – The Bachelor was a great brain dead activity last night. Thanks for asking πŸ™‚

  1. Great topic! Ours is an interesting arrangement. We have a closed door policy between Tim and I. He doesn’t come in when I’m going pee or otherwise and I don’t go in there when he going pee or otherwise. However, it is a complete open door policy with the kids. Tim likes to spend a long time in the bathroom and it finally got to a point where I was tired of explaining to Abbi that she couldn’t go into the bathroom. Now that she knows she can go in there when daddy is in there she really doesn’t want to. And I have made him take the baby into the bathroom with him in the exersaucer. There was no choice given there. I do have to say that this really only takes place when he’s spending a long time in the bathroom. If he’s just going pee then the kids can wait.
For me, yeah, there is no privacy. The kids come and go in the bathroom whether I’m peeing, showering, bathing, or brushing my teeth. I gave up on that battle a long time ago!

  2. Jodi this one made me giggle. we got open door all the time over here. Not sure if we planned it to always be like that but it ended up that way. If i get to shower alone (Jak even hears the water he is in there trying to get in) these days its amazing. That is why i dream of having more then one bathroom everyday!

  3. Oh the bathroom! Never a big deal with a tiny baby, I always just brought him in the bouncy seat while I did my business, showered, got ready, whatever. But now that he’s potty trained, I get a bit tired of all the “helping” he does. And the cheering when I go! It’s a bit much, so now he gets locked out more and more. He can cry all he wants on the other side of the door when I’m in need of a few private moments! Inside, it’s all me and only me. πŸ™‚
Of course, some days I’m a bit more lax and just leave the door open for him to come and go as he pleases. Umm, let me just say, when my husband is home – there are no open doors when I’m in there! I love him, but some things need to be kept private. πŸ™‚
And of course hubby gets all the time he wants in there in private? Why it works like that drives me crazy! Seriously? One of these days I’m gonna just walk in there with a book and read for 20 minutes! BY MYSELF! πŸ™‚
