It’s just time for a bit of a change in my daily routine and this website is one of the things that keeps me away from the things I love the most.
The wedding was fabulous this weekend. Aaron didn’t get much better, although you would have never known it. We were so excited to sleep in this morning but heard our doorbell ring at 9 this morning and decided to start the day early.
Jessica has a bit of Grandparent-detox to go through but was SO excited to see us and we were very ready to see her again and finally spend some time with her.
I lost my voice through out the wedding and reception and it hasn’t gotten much better today so aside from hacking and blowing our noses we also sound like emphysema patients. You know, to keep it interesting.
It seems that a summer flu bug is going around - Aaron came home early yesterday to sleep the day away - which he did very well. Today he’s back at work but planning on coming home early again to get some more sleep before the wedding festivities begin tonight. Hopefully after one more good nights sleep he’s strong enough to stand up in the wedding tomorrow.
Jessica woke up yesterday with a green nose - and during the day seemed to be better but again this morning we had quite a bit of congestion and a runny nose.
I’ve been able to abate the sickness and hope I can continue to be healthy at least through this weekend. Then if I must play nice with the germs - I suppose I could for 24 hours or so, but no more than that. I’m not willing to compromise with the germs on this.
so as you can see, we’ve been agreeably boring over here and not much has been happening or worthy of writing about.
I finally went to my chiropractor for my sitting lunges injury way back in February and I love going to the chiropractor, getting my bones aligned and my back cracked. It’s a little bit of heaven in my book. However … I always feel like I unknowingly signed up for some fetish porn.
Whenever my back is cracked and that much weight is put on my diaphragm, I make noise. Like a squeaky toy - with a very girly voice and I just want to die inside. Because here’s this man standing above me, putting pressure on my back to realign my spine and all I can do is gasp and moan at the exiling of my lungs.
A great weekend visiting with friends from out of town - having sleep overs, bachelor parties and play dates. More awesomeness to come this week with the pending wedding of our friends. A week of celebration to ensue.
Also Aaron’s sister is home for a vacation from her job in Florida - bonus!
I remember thinking the summer was SO long when I was in elementary school - a week was like a month to me. My concept of time was non-existent until the 4th grade. Now I’m already thinking of our schedule in July and wondering when I’ll have time to go to the zoo with Jessica …
