I work at the Plainfield branch of Kent District Library, and Sarah Jenzen from Sarah’s Deals passed your name on to me regarding a program we’re planning for this fall.
The program, called Living Books, will pair a library patron with a volunteer “expert” for a one-on-one discussion about a topic of interest. At our branch, our topic can have anything to do with budgeting, stretching your dollar, or managing financially during difficult economic times.
The volunteer would be available in our library for two hours, from 5:30 – 7:30 on Thursday, October 4. Patrons would “check out” the expert for fifteen minute sessions.
I’m hoping you or someone you know from your blogging group might be willing to make yourself available as an “expert” during our program. You can provide information on any topic that fits broadly into our general guidelines.
