Memorial Day Weekend 2010

Memorial Day weekend was one week after Gleek Retreat 2010 and we headed up north to my Mom and Step-Dad’s cottage.

We spent time doing nothing, taking naps, on the boat, eating, 4-wheeling, eating, making s’mores and eating. Oh and we didn’t go hungry.

In year’s past that we’ve gone up there Aaron usually gets sick. Like, headed to the ER sick. Or injured, like headed to the ER injured.

We said a few prayers on our way up there this time around hoping for health and safety. We made it!! And then we got home.

Aaaaaand, he had strept-throat. Of course he did.

However … while we were there it was really fantastic to do nothing after the whirlwind of planning and then pulling off the conference. {Do you guys want to hear about that? I’ll totally write about it if you want me to.}

Here’s some of my favorite photos from the weekend …

Caring is so beautiful

On the river walk

Stopped by the side of the road, there was a tree to climb.

Things she gives me

It was a great start to summer and an even better way to wrap up the feelings I had surrounding the conference. A nice relaxing escape. Family. Adventure.

I’m infatuated with this idea and I was thinking about how to go about making a few different kinds of these for my kids, we love us some I Spy. I no longer own Photoshop or any of those creative suites for computers but I do have Pages with my Mac. So, I went for it.

You can download it for free here. Enjoy!

I printed a couple sheets then used my nifty large scale, straight line cutter thing to chop em down.
